Summer Style: Bar Carts

Summer is finally upon us and that can mean only one thing: outdoor parties. My favorite! Grilling out and having a few drinks with friends on a Saturday afternoon is something we love to do all summer long.

Of course we always make way too much food (and I’ll post some recipes at another time) but I also love to make some cool mixed cocktails. The key to doing this stress-free is to set out the ingredients and everything you need ahead of time. This ensures that your guests can make their own cocktails without asking you for things all day, and also that the liquor you didn’t intend to be used is stored away out of sight. (So no one drinks that champagne you’re saving for your next big promotion…)

A really cute way to do this is by purchasing a bar cart. They come in every color and style imaginable and some you can find at a really good deal (hello, Target). I’ve gathered a couple ideas I’ve found to help give some inspiration.

Mimosa & Monroe styled a bar cart by Society Social in a fun and classy way using elements from home decor and sticking to a color theme that also includes the color of bottles themselves.

This fun and colorful bar cart was put together by Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential. She keeps it simple with sangria, cups and straws, sticking to a teal, gold and pink color palette. Check out her site for more ideas.

This girly design found on Pop Sugar is great for a girls night in with your friends. Also, remember to put out an ice bucket right before everyone arrives.

This 60’s inspired arrangement, also from Pop Sugar, has a nice dose of masculinity. This would be great for a dinner party with a few couples on a warm summer night.

Here are some bar carts at varying price points for you to check out:

And my personal favorite because it comes in a TON of colors:

If you’re looking for more ways to style a bar cart check out Pinterest. You can also turn cabinets and dressers into a great bar area. Or, if you’re only putting out a few things, just place a pretty tray on the table and style that. Happy Entertaining : )
